Abstract

Fractures are conditions where the continuity of bone tissue and or cartilage is completely or partially interrupted due to forces or osteoporosis or also due to trauma. Today, musculoskeletal problems have become a problem that is often found in health care centers. The purpose of this case study is to describe the implementation of nursing for patients with femoral fractures in meeting the needs for a sense of security and comfort. This type of research is descriptive using a case study approach. The subject in this case study selected one patient as the subject of the case study, namely a femoral fracture patient with acute pain in Flamboyant Room 2, Salatiga City Hospital. The results of the study showed that the management of nursing in patients with femoral fractures with acute pain who performed religious music therapy 4 times in a span of 3x24 hours resulted in a decrease in the intensity of pain scale before and after religious music therapy. After doing religious music therapy starting from the first day to the third day there was a decrease in pain from the scale of 7 to 4 on the fourth music therapy action. Recommendations for religious music therapy are effective in reducing the intensity of the pain scale, thus meeting the need for a sense of security and comfort: pain.
