Abstract

Hallucinations are positive symptoms that appear in schizophrenic patients. The importance of psychosocial needs and mental health in patients with hallucinations aims to reduce the signs and symptoms of hallucinations. This study aims to explore the problem of nursing care in schizophrenic patients who experience hallucinations with the fulfillment of psychosocial and mental health needs. The design used was descriptive research with case study method. The subject of the case study involved was one patient with hallucinations who was treated at a regional mental hospital in Central Java Province. The interventions given were strategies for implementing hallucinations 1-4 and psychoreligious dhikr therapy. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation study. The research instrument used an observation sheet for decreasing signs and symptoms and standard operating procedures for hallucinations. The psychoreligious dhikr therapy was carried out in 15 minutes for 5 days managed with 8 meetings. The results of the case study showed that there was a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations. Dhikr psychoreligious therapy can be applied in nursing actions to control hallucinations.
