Abstract

Background: Based on the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2017, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia reached 305 per 100,000 live births with the number of cases. The most common causes of maternal death are pre-eclampsia and hemorrhage. The Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) was recorded at 24 per 1,000 live births with a total of 151,200 cases. The most common causes of infant mortality are low birth weight babies (LBW) and asphyxia (Kemenkes RI, 2017). Objective: To provide comprehensive midwifery care for pregnant women, maternity, postpartum, and newborns using Varney's 7-Step midwifery management approach. Methods: In the preparation of this final report the author uses a descriptive observational method with a case study approach. The observational method is a planned procedure that includes noting the number and level of certain activities that are related to the problem under study. Subjects: The subjects used were midwifery care management for Mrs. D G1 P0 A0 34 weeks of gestation in March at Sri Wahyuni ​​Midwife Independent Practice, S.Tr.Keb.,Bdn Pracimantoro. Result: During the pregnancy, Mrs. D had no problems in her pregnancy. The delivery process is smooth and spontaneous. Normal BBL had no complications. Normal uterine involution postpartum and Mrs. D plans to use 3-month injection KB. Conclusion: During the provision of comprehensive midwifery care, there was no discrepancy between theory and practice.
