Abstract

Abstract
The less of preparation for pregnancy, effect in pregnancy complications, thereby increasing the Maternal and Infant Mortality Rate. Preparation for a healthy pregnancy must be carried out before pregnancy, so that it will have a positive impact on the condition of the prospective mother and fetus. Less of knowledge and information on female catin health before the wedding often causes unplanned pregnancies. Preconception education and screening are needed to increase female catin knowledge. Good knowledge causes a people to have a positive attitude. This study aims to determine the impact of reproductive health booklets and preconception screening on female catin attitudes about preparation for a healthy pregnancy at Puskesmas Pracimantoro 1. The type of research was quasy experiment design with non equivalent control group design. The sample is the female catin who did an health care at the Puskesmas Pracimantoro 1. The sampling technique used a consecutive sampling technique, with a total sample of 34 respondents from the experimental group and 34 respondents from the control group. Data was collected using a questionnaire before and after being given an educational intervention with reproductive health booklets and preconception screening. Mc Nemar test results showed a significance of 0.001 in the experimental group, which means that there is a significant difference before and after the intervention, while the significance of the control group is 0.424, which means that there is no significant difference before and after the intervention. The Chi-square test showed a significance of 0.118 which means that there is no significant difference in attitude between the two groups after the intervention. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that reproductive health booklets and preconception screening have a positive effect on the attitude of the female catin towards preparation for a healthy pregnancy.
