Abstract

Abstract
Knowledge about pregnancy discomfort is very important to reduce anxiety, if knowledge is lacking then handling behavior is also not good and can cause complications. One of the efforts to increase knowledge and behavior of pregnant women is to conduct FCMC. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of FCMC education to knowledge and behavior of pregnant women in handling discomfort during pregnancy. The design of this study was pre-experimental with a one group pretest posttest design approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women recorded in the Cadre Report book in Sumberbrantas Village in July as many as 50 people. Sampling using purposive sampling. The sample is 33 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results showed that most respondents had less knowledge before being given FCMC, namely 18 people (54.5%), while most respondents had sufficient knowledge after being given FCMC, namely 24 people (72.7%). Most respondents had poor behavior before being given FCMC, namely 25 people (75.8%), while almost all respondents had sufficient knowledge after being given FCMC, namely 27 people (81.8%) The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test analysis obtained a p value of 0.000 less than (0.05) so that H1 was accepted, which means there is an effect of the application of FCMC education on discomfort during pregnancy on knowledge and behavior of pregnant women in handling discomfort during pregnancy in Sumberbrantas village. Through FCMC, husband and family play an active role in finding information about discomfort during pregnancy and how to overcome it so that maternal knowledge will increase, with increasing knowledge, mother's behavior tends to improve because knowledge is the basis of one's actions.
