Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding has been widely applied in society to mothers, but the results of exclusive breastfeeding coverage are still low, this is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers. The information that mothers need can be done with several methods, one of which is the provision of Family Centered Maternity Care (FCMC) educational methods. This research aims to analyze the Effect of Exclusive Breastfeeding Module through FCMC Education on the Knowledge of Pregnant Mothers about Exclusive Breastfeeding in Bawak Kecamtan Village, Cawas Regency, Klaten Regency.
Pre-experimental research with one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is pregnant women in Bawak Village, Cawas District, Klaten Regency, with a population of 42 respondents. sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling with a sample of 34 respondents. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis using Wilcoxon.
Research results of pregnant women in Bawak Village, Cawas District, Klaten Regency, the majority of them are 20-35 years old, namely 29 respondents (85.3%). 21 respondents (61.8%) have secondary education. Most of the jobs are working, namely 19 respondents (55.9%). Pregnant women's knowledge about Exclusive Breastfeeding before the provision of the Exclusive Breastfeeding module through FCMC education showed that the majority had sufficient knowledge, namely 19 respondents (55.9%), after the provision of the Exclusive Breastfeeding module, the respondents had sufficient and good knowledge, each of 17 respondents (50.0%) . There is an effect of the Exclusive Breastfeeding module through FCMC education on pregnant women's knowledge about Exclusive Breastfeeding (p-value 0.000 <0.05).
