Abstract

Unwanted pregnancy (KTD) in adolescents is defined as a condition when the pregnancy experienced by adolescents is not accepted or rejection occurs both physically and psychologically. Efforts that can be made to prevent unwanted pregnancies are by providing health education using appropriate and effective media. Flash cards are health education media that combine text and image elements so that they are effective and interesting educational media.
This type of research uses a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The population in the study were 302 class X (Ten) girls. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 31 X (Ten) class girls at SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono Boyolali. Data analysis in this research is using paired t-test.
The results of the study showed that there was an increase in knowledge and changes in attitudes of young women before and after giving the intervention. For knowledge with an increase difference value of 4.8 with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). For attitudes with an increase difference value of 15.13 with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). So it can be concluded that health education using flash card media has an effect on the level of knowledge and attitudes of young women about unwanted pregnancies.
