Abstract

THE EFFECT OF HUSBAND SUPPORT ON THE SUCCESS OF EXCLUSIVE BREAST MILK IN TELUKAN GROGOL VILLAGE, SUKOHARJO

ABSTRACT

Exclusive breastfeeding is giving breast milk to babies for 6 full months and babies don't get any food other than breast milk. Breastfeeding requires a stable emotional condition, bearing in mind that the psychological factors of the mother greatly affect milk production, husbands and wives must understand each other how important it is to support mothers who are breastfeeding. This research was conducted to determine the effect of husband's support on the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Telukan Grogol Village, Sukoharjo.
This study uses analytic observational. Analytical observational research, namely examining certain effects with certain factors. The population of this study was breastfeeding mothers in Telukan Grogol Sukoharjo Village in March 2023 with a total sample of 34 mothers.
The characteristics of the respondents in this study based on the age of the respondents were mostly 20-35 years old, there were 20 people (58.8%), there were 17 people with high school education (50.0%) and there were 21 working mothers (61,8%). Husband's support in supporting breastfeeding mothers in exclusive breastfeeding is mostly in the Less category, namely there are 13 people (38,2%). The success of exclusive breastfeeding mothers. Most of the respondents were in the successful category, there were 22 people (64,7%).
Conclusion there is the influence of husband's support on the success of exclusive breastfeeding mothers. The closeness of the two variables is quite strong with x2 count > x2 table (16.214> 5,591) or p 0,000 < 0,05.
