Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MOTIVATION AND COMPLIANCE OF DRINKING ADDED BLOOD TABLETS IN ANEMIA PREGNANT WOMEN AT UPTD SUKOHARJO NGUTER HEALTH CENTER

ABSTRACT

Anemia in pregnant women is called the potential danger of mother and child, namely anemia has the potential to endanger the health of mother and child. Pregnant women need large amounts of iron during pregnancy which is used for the formation of the placenta and red blood cells. Compliance of pregnant women in taking iron tablets can be increased by the role of health workers in providing information, family support and healthy behavior of pregnant women about the importance of daily iron tablets consumption. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between motivation and adherence to taking iron tablets in anemic pregnant women at the UPTD of the Nguter Health Center, Sukoharjo.
The type of research used in this research is analytic observational. The approach used in this method is cross sectional. The population of this study were anemic pregnant women at the UPTD of the Nguter Health Center, Sukoharjo. Number of anemic pregnant women In June 2023 there were 46 anemic pregnant women. Characteristics of respondents based on age, most were aged 20-35 years, there were 36 people (78.3%) and a small proportion aged <20 years, as many as 4 people (8.7%), most of them had university education, there were 21 people (45.7%) ) and a small number of elementary school educated 3 respondents (6.5%) and most of them were working mothers there were 32 people (69.6%) a small number of mothers did not work 14 respondents (30.4%). Motivation to take blood supplement tablets for anemic pregnant women at the UPTD Community Health Center Motivation for taking blood supplement tablets for anemic pregnant women at the UPTD Nguter Sukoharjo Community Health Center, the average or mean is 15.15.
There is a significant relationship between motivation and adherence to taking iron tablets in anemic pregnant women, with the result p = 0.000.
