The Effect of Consumption of Boiled Chicken Eggs on Increased Hemoglobin Levels in Anemia Pregnant Women in the Working Area of the UPTD Nguter Health Center, Sukoharjo

ABSTRACT

The nutritional content of purebred chicken eggs is rich in high-quality animal protein. In race chicken eggs also contain substances that are very important and quite high, namely iron 6.5 mg, zinc 6.0 mg and selenium 5.8 mg. The iron content of broiler chicken eggs is 6.5 mg in whole eggs, 0.2 mg in egg whites and 6.3 mg in egg yolks. Pregnant women who consume boiled eggs one item a day for 1-4 weeks, the increase in hemoglobin levels will be higher than those who do not consume boiled eggs (Dessy, 2020).
This study used a Quasi Experiment with the One Group Pretest-Postest design. The type of research used in this research is analytic observational. The population of this study were anemic pregnant women at the UPTD of the Nguter Health Center, Sukoharjo. The sampling method was "Non-probability Sampling" with the "Total Sampling" sample technique of 34 pregnant women with anemia in the third trimester. This study was analyzed by paired t-test.
The average or mean hemoglobin level in anemic pregnant women at the UPTD of the Nguter Sukoharjo Health Center before consuming Fe plus regular boiled eggs for 2 weeks was 9.55. The average or mean hemoglobin level in anemic pregnant women at the UPTD of the Nguter Sukoharjo Health Center before consuming Fe plus regular boiled eggs for 2 weeks is 10.34
Conclusion, there is an effect of consumption of boiled chicken eggs on increasing Hemoglobin levels in Anemia Pregnant Women in the UPTD Working Area of the Nguter Sukoharjo Health Center with a tcount > ttable ((12,238 > 1,746) or p 0.000 <0.05.
