Abstract
Abstract
One of the causes of health problems that often arise in adolescents is poor Personal Hygiene, if the cleanliness of the feminine apparatus is less there will be some disorders of hygiene problems or hygiene, among others are the discharge of vaginal fluid flour albus, irritation, the onset of problems with infections of the urinary tract, unpleasant odors, and infections of the vaginal area (vaginitis), and uterine cancer. This study aims to find out the influence of health education using Video media on the level of personal hygiene knowledge during menstruation in junior high school N 1 Sukodono.
Research design is a quantitative research pre-experiment using the design of one group pre test-post test. The sample in this study was a student of SMP N 1 Sukodono who numbered 76 respondents using proportionate startified random sampling techniques. The variable observed in this study is the provision of health education using video media and personal hygiene knowledge levels. This study used a non-parametric test, the Wilcoxon test. Based on the Wilcoxon test showed A value of Z (-7.62) and Pvalue (0.000) < 0.05 H0: rejected means that there is an effect of providing health education using video media on the level of personal hygiene knowledge at the time of menstruation in junior high school N 1 Sukodono. The results of this study as an intervention in providing education on the importance of Personal Hygiene during menstruation can build the level of personal hygiene knowledge during menstruation in junior high school N 1 Sukodono.
