ABSTRACT

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition of the mother with hemoglobin levels below 11g% in trimesters 1 and 3 or levels <10.5g% in trimester 2. The efforts that have been made by midwives in dealing with the problem of anemia in pregnant women TM III is to detect anemia early in pregnancy by examining Hb in TM I and dealing with cases that arise by giving Fe tablets. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of pregnant women about anemia and the incidence of anemia in Pondok Grogol Village, Sukoharjo.
This study used a Quasi Experiment with the One Group Pretest-Postest design. The characteristics of respondents based on age are mostly 20-35 years old, there are 35 people (89.7%), most of them have higher education education, there are 17 people (43.6%) and most of them are working mothers, there are 24 people (61.5%) . Mothers' knowledge about anemia in Pondok Village, Grogol, Sukoharjo was mostly knowledgeable, there were 30 people (76.9%). The incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Pondok Village, Grogol, Sukoharjo, most of the pregnant women were normal or not anemic, namely 23 people (59%).
Conclution there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of pregnant women about anemia and the incidence of anemia in the Pondok Grogol Sukoharjo Village area with a value of p = 0.00.
