Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF HEALTH EDUCATION THROUGH LACTATION PREPARATION POCKETBOOK ON THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF PREGNANT WOMEN ABOUT LACTATION PREPARATION IN THE AREA OF KADOKAN GROGOL SUKOHARJO

ABSTRACT

Lactation is the whole process of breastfeeding, from the time the milk is produced until the baby sucks and swallows the milk. Ten steps to successful breastfeeding, one of which is providing information to mothers regarding the benefits of breastfeeding and lactation management and providing counseling using tools. the village area of Kadokan Grogol Sukoharjo
This study used a Quasi Experiment with the One Group Pretest-Postest design. The population of this study were pregnant women in the first, second and third trimesters in the Kadokan Village area, Grogol, Sukoharjo in July 2023 with a total sample of 35 pregnant women. The characteristics of the respondents based on the age of the respondents were mostly 20-35 years old, there were 31 people (88.6%), there were 17 people with university education (48.6%) and there were 23 working mothers (65.7%). Knowledge of pregnant women about lactation preparation before being given health education through the media pocket book. After being given Health Education through the medium of pocket books, most of the respondents were in the good category, with 21 people (960%).
There is a significant influence between health education through the medium of lactation preparation pocket books on the level of knowledge of pregnant women. The closeness of the two variables is quite strong with a p-value of 0.000.
