Abstract

Level of Knowledge of Pregnant Women About Discomfort in Pregnancy In the Juwiring Community Health Center Working Area Klaten in 2023

Pregnancy and the experience of giving birth are one of the biggest events in a woman's life. During pregnancy, dramatic changes occur, both physiological, psychological and adaptive changes that affect pregnant women. Complaints in pregnant women, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy, such as shortness of breath, lower back pain, hemorrhoids, sleep disorders, pain in the pelvic area, dizziness, stomach cramps, leg cramps, frequent urination, and discomfort due to sudden and anxious contractions.

The aim is to determine the level of knowledge of pregnant women about the discomfort that occurs during pregnancy in the Juwiring Community Health Center area.

Method. This research design was used in quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was all pregnant women in the working area of the Juwiring Community Health Center, Klaten Regency. The total population of pregnant women in August 2023 will be 258 pregnant women. In this research, the data collection technique was carried out using purposive sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis uses frequency distribution.

Results. Characteristics of 100% pregnant women aged 20-35 years, namely 52 respondents (100%), most with high school education as many as 40 pregnant women (76.9%) and most with multiparous parity as many as 78 people (53.6%) and gestational age less than 37 weeks is 100%. The description of the knowledge of pregnant women about the discomforts of pregnancy is mostly sufficient, namely 32 pregnant women (61.5%)

Conclusion. The description of knowledge based on age is mostly sufficient at the age of 20-35 years as many as 32 pregnant women (61.5%), high school education as many as 22 people (42.5%), multipatra multipara parity, namely as many as 16 pregnant women (30.8%) and the most < 37 weeks, namely 32 pregnant women (61.5%).
