Abstract

Background: Triple elimination is an effort program to eliminate infection with three infectious diseases directly from mother to child, namely HIV/AIDS, Syphilis and Hepatitis B infections which are integrated directly into the maternal and child health program.
Objective: To determine the factors influencing pregnant women's knowledge about triple elimination examinations at the Gatak Community Health Center.
Method: Analytical survey design with a cross sectional approach, and the technique used was purposive sampling of 84 respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire regarding age, education, employment, parity and knowledge about triple elimination examination with chi square test analysis.
Results: Based on the research results, it shows that the majority of pregnant women's knowledge level is sufficient, 33 respondents (39.3%) regarding triple elimination examinations. There is a relationship between age (p.value 0.018), education (p.value 0.000), knowledge (p.value 0.027) and parity (p.value 0.001) with pregnant women's knowledge about triple elimination examinations.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between age, education, employment and parity with pregnant women's knowledge about triple elimination examinations at the Gatak Community Health Center.
Suggestion: Pregnant women are expected to carry out triple elimination examinations early, the aim is to find out early if infection is detected
